FAQ

  • Why should I get my floor coated?

Coating your concrete floor offers a myriad of benefits that contribute to both its aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. A concrete floor coating enhances the surface's durability, providing a robust barrier against abrasions, stains, and chemical spills. This protective layer extends the floor's lifespan and reduces the likelihood of cracks and damage caused by daily wear and tear. Additionally, a coated concrete floor is much easier to clean and maintain, saving both time and effort in the long run. There’s a LOT of reasons to get your floor coated and extend the durability over time.

  • How long will it take to install my floor?

This is completely dependent on the square footage of your floor and the quality of your concrete. Typical residential homes (2-3 car garage) can be done in less than two days. We also have a complimentary trailer that we offer to store your objects in while we work in the garage!

  • What kind of warranty do you offer?

If your concrete is in good condition, we will honor our 20-year warranty! This covers anything from chips to smaller cracking that needs fixed. Due to our moisture barrier that we lay, we typically do not see a lot of issues with our floors.

  • Do you do residential and commercial property installs?

Yes! We have a wide variety in our customer base. Whether you’re a commercial or residential property owner, we will get you taken care of.

  • Will my garage floor be slippery in the winter?

Depending on what type of system you have installed, completely depends on how slippery it will be. Bare concrete in the winter is slippery already, however with a flake system it will decrease the amount of “slip” in the floor because of the grit in our flake product. However, our metallic product is more shiny and glossy, therefore probably not a good decision for a heavy traffic area in the winter.

  • How do we avoid future cracking and pitting in my floor?

CLEAN! Obviously if you’re getting this done to your floor, you somewhat care about it. Making sure that your floor is cleaned often (2-3x a year) is super important. In addition, if you have older concrete your floor may be more susceptible to pitting and cracking.

  • Can I choose my own color combination?

We can create just about any color combination of our flake and metallic installs. Whether you’re a die-hard Vikings fan and want purple & yellow or you just really love the color Aqua Blue, we can make your dream color combination happen. Custom flake color installs may be susceptible to an extra fee, however.

  • Is the coating resistant to chemicals and stains?

Yes! Our coatings are perfect for places where there’s high stains. Whether it be a Auto-Body garage or a local restaurant, it’s easy to clean up stains.

  • How do I clean and maintain my floor after it's coated?

It’s easy! Powerwashing your floor has never been easier. Because of the durability of our product, cleaning with a hose or powerwasher with some dish soap (dawn preferably) is great. After you’re done spraying and cleaning, you can easily squeegee the excess water off of the floor to outside.

  • Can coatings be installed in cold or hot climates?

Our coatings can be installed in a range of temperatures! We can work with temperatures from 0 degrees all the way up to 100 degrees. However, the warmer it is outside, the faster the floor will cure.

  • I have heavy vehicle and foot traffic in my garage. Is that okay?

Our coatings are highly durable and can withstand heavy vehicle and foottraffic, making it suitable for garages, warehouses, and industrial settings.

  • How do I know when to replace my concrete?

Determining whether to replace, coat, or level your concrete involves evaluating the extent of damage, wear, and your specific needs. If your concrete surface exhibits widespread cracks, significant spalling, or structural issues, replacement might be necessary. Cracks that are deep, wide, or compromise the integrity of the structure indicate a need for a fresh installation. However, if the damage is superficial, such as minor cracks, stains, or surface imperfections, coating the concrete may be a more cost-effective and practical solution. Concrete coating not only addresses cosmetic concerns but also enhances durability and resistance to various elements. On the other hand, if your concrete floor has uneven surfaces, sunken areas, or is not level, a leveling or resurfacing option might be more suitable. Self-leveling compounds or professional resurfacing techniques can be employed to restore a smooth and even surface without the need for complete replacement. In essence, the decision between replacement, coating, or leveling depends on the severity and nature of the concrete issues, with each option tailored to address specific conditions and objectives.
